Terms of Service
Effective date: November 9, 2026
Last updated: November 9, 2026
What changed (November 9, 2026): we now check image prompts and generated images with an automated moderation service before generating and before saving them. A prompt it blocks is not generated and costs no credits (Sections 3, 7, and 8).
What changed (November 9, 2026): we corrected Section 5; what we do with Your Content has not changed. We still do not use Your Content to train AI models. We no longer describe our AI providers' training policies here; the Privacy Policy (Section 3) describes how each provider handles the content we send it.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Far Star Studio Ltd. (遠星工作室有限公司), a company incorporated in Taiwan (Republic of China) ("Far Star Studio", the "Company", "we", "us"). They govern your access to and use of Content Forger (the "Service"), available at this website. Content Forger is developed and operated by the Company's Far Star Labs team.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and Refund Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Content Forger is an AI-assisted content generation platform. It currently provides:
- Projects and project context — workspaces that hold your content and shared generation guidelines
- Visual workflows — configurable multi-step AI pipelines built on a canvas
- Single-step generation — direct text and image generation
- Entry sets — structured input data fed into workflows
- Assets — storage for files you upload and content you generate
Generation is performed through third-party AI providers (see Section 8). The Service currently generates text and images. Other formats may be added in the future; these Terms will be updated when the Service materially changes.
1.1 Early-access status
The Service is currently in an invite-only early-access (beta) phase. During this phase:
- Access is granted via invitation codes or our waitlist, at our discretion
- Features may change, be interrupted, or be removed without prior notice
- We may impose or adjust usage limits (including credit allocations) to keep the Service stable
- Free use is available; paid plans and credit packs are optional (Section 4). The Service is provided as-is (see Section 11)
2. Eligibility and Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
- You may register with an email address and password, or through Google or GitHub sign-in.
- Do not create multiple accounts to obtain additional free credits or to evade enforcement actions.
- Notify us at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
3. Credits
Use of AI generation consumes credits. The credit cost of each generation step is shown in the app before you run it.
- Free credits. New workspaces receive a welcome amount, and free credits are added daily up to a cap, as shown in the app.
- Purchased credits. Credits from a subscription or a credit pack (Section 4) are added to the same balance and can take it above the cap. While your balance is above the cap, daily free credits pause.
- Expiry. Every credit, free or purchased, expires one year after it is added to your workspace. When you spend credits, the ones that expire soonest are used first.
- Failed or blocked generations. If a generation fails, its credits are returned. If a prompt is blocked by our automated moderation before generation, no credits are charged. If an image is blocked by a safety filter or by our automated moderation, part of its credits may be kept, as shown in the app. Returned credits keep their original expiry.
- Credits cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be transferred between workspaces or accounts. Refunds of purchases are covered by Section 4.4.
- We may change free-credit rates, caps, and per-step credit costs as models and provider pricing change, and will announce material changes on the website or in the app. A change to per-step costs does not take away credits you already have.
- Credits obtained through fraud, automation, or multiple accounts may be revoked.
4. Paid Plans and Purchases
4.1 Our reseller: Paddle
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
This means that when you buy a plan or credits, you buy from Paddle, and Paddle's Buyer Terms apply to the purchase (payment, taxes, invoices, refunds, and cancellation). Paddle's name may appear on your card or bank statement. These Terms continue to govern your use of the Service.
4.2 What you can buy
- Subscriptions (monthly or yearly) that add a set number of credits to your workspace each month while the subscription is paid up.
- Credit packs: one-time purchases of a fixed number of credits. They are not subscriptions and do not renew.
The plans, prices, and the credits each one includes are shown at checkout. The price you pay, including any taxes Paddle is required to collect, is the one shown at checkout before you confirm the purchase.
4.3 Renewal and cancellation
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) and are charged to your payment method until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time through Paddle, for example from the link in your Paddle receipt email or at paddle.net. Cancellation stops the next renewal. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, and nothing is charged after that.
- Credits already added to your workspace stay usable until they expire (Section 3), even after your subscription ends.
- For a yearly plan, credits are added monthly for the 12 months the yearly payment covers.
- If we raise the price of a plan, we will tell you at least 30 days before your next renewal at the new price, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
4.4 Refunds
Refunds are described in our Refund Policy. It does not limit any right you have under mandatory consumer law, including the right of withdrawal in the EU and UK. Refund requests may be made to us or to Paddle; refunds are always paid by Paddle.
4.5 Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, Paddle may retry it. No credits are added for the new period until the payment succeeds. Credits already added to your workspace are not removed because of a failed renewal. If the payment still fails after Paddle's retries, the subscription may be paused or cancelled.
5. Your Content
"Your Content" means everything you submit to the Service: prompts, project context, entry set data, uploaded assets, and workflow configurations.
- You own Your Content. These Terms do not transfer ownership of it to us.
- You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, reproduce, and display Your Content solely to operate, secure, and improve the Service — including transmitting it to the AI providers you invoke (Section 8).
- You represent that you have the necessary rights to Your Content and that it does not violate Section 7 (Acceptable Use) or any third party's rights.
- We do not use Your Content to train AI models. How our AI providers handle the content we send them is described in the Privacy Policy (Section 3), together with the current provider list.
Please note: the Service stores the full inputs and outputs of each generation step as execution history so you can review past runs. See the Privacy Policy for details.
6. AI-Generated Output
"Output" means content generated by the Service in response to Your Content.
- To the extent we receive rights in Output from our AI providers, we assign and/or license those rights to you, subject to these Terms and to the providers' own policies (Section 8). You may use Output commercially.
- AI systems have inherent limitations. Output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading; it may be similar or identical to output generated for other users from similar prompts; and it may not qualify for copyright or other IP protection in some jurisdictions.
- You are responsible for reviewing Output before relying on or publishing it, including verifying factual claims and checking that it does not infringe third-party rights.
- Where applicable law requires AI-generated content to be labeled or disclosed, you are responsible for that disclosure.
- We do not guarantee that any particular Output is fit for any particular purpose.
7. Acceptable Use
You may not use the Service to create, upload, or distribute content, or engage in activity, that:
Content restrictions
- Violates any applicable law or regulation
- Constitutes child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or sexualizes minors in any way — zero tolerance; we will report to relevant authorities
- Depicts identifiable real people in sexual or intimate imagery without their consent, or uses a real person's face, voice, or likeness without their explicit consent (including "deepfakes" and face swaps)
- Infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property or personality rights
- Harasses, threatens, defames, or promotes hatred or violence against any person or group
- Is designed to deceive — including fraud, phishing, impersonation, or coordinated disinformation
- Contains malware or instructions primarily useful for causing harm
Service integrity
- Probing, scanning, or breaching the Service's security or authentication measures
- Accessing other users' or teams' data
- Scraping, crawling, or bulk-extracting the Service other than through features we provide
- Circumventing credit limits, invite gating, or other usage controls (including via multiple accounts)
- Interfering with the Service's operation, including sending abusive request volumes
- Reselling or white-labeling the Service without our written consent
Provider policies
Your use of generation features must also comply with the usage policies of the AI providers that process your requests, currently OpenAI and fal.ai. You may not use the Service to make or sell content or products that break the rules of our payment provider, Paddle (Section 4.1), set out in Paddle's Acceptable Use Policy.
Our Acceptable Use Policy gives more detail and forms part of these Terms.
Before an image is generated, an automated moderation service checks its prompt, and before a generated image is saved, it checks the image (see Section 4 of our Acceptable Use Policy). Apart from these automated checks, we do not monitor or pre-screen Your Content or Output, but we may review content that is reported to us or flagged by our providers or by these checks, and we may remove content or take enforcement action where these Terms are violated.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service depends on third-party providers, currently including:
| Provider | Role |
|---|---|
| OpenAI | Text generation; automated moderation of image prompts and generated images |
| fal.ai | Image generation (including OpenAI-developed image models routed via fal.ai) |
| Supabase | Authentication and database |
| Cloudflare | File/asset storage |
| Railway | Application hosting |
| Paddle | Reseller and Merchant of Record for paid plans and credit packs (Section 4) |
We are not responsible for the availability of third-party providers. Model availability, behavior, and pricing may change based on our providers, and we may add, replace, or remove providers and models. The list of data-processing providers is maintained in the Privacy Policy.
9. Enforcement, Suspension, and Termination
- By you: you may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account in Settings → Account. Deletion is immediate and permanent, and any credits remaining in your workspace are lost (see Privacy Policy). If you cannot sign in, email [email protected]. If you have an active subscription, cancel it first (Section 4.3); you cannot delete your account until the subscription has ended.
- By us: we may suspend or terminate your access, remove content, or revoke credits if you violate these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, create risk or legal exposure for us or others, or if required by law. For serious violations (including CSAM or attacks on the Service) we may act immediately and without notice, and may preserve and disclose relevant information to authorities as required by law.
- We may also discontinue the Service (or parts of it) during or after the beta phase; where practicable, we will give reasonable advance notice so you can export Your Content.
- If you believe an enforcement action was mistaken, contact [email protected]. We review appeals in good faith and aim to respond promptly.
10. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. Data portability and deletion requests are handled per the Privacy Policy.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY OF OUTPUT, OR UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY — TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW. THIS IS PARTICULARLY TRUE DURING THE BETA PHASE, WHERE DATA LOSS, DOWNTIME, AND FEATURE CHANGES MAY OCCUR. WE RECOMMEND KEEPING COPIES OF IMPORTANT CONTENT.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.
- Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or the minimum amount required by applicable law if that law does not permit such a limitation.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability arising from our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or your mandatory statutory rights as a consumer.
13. Indemnification
If a third party brings a claim against us arising from Your Content, your Output as used by you, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law, you agree to indemnify us for reasonable damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) resulting from that claim, except to the extent caused by our own breach or fault.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. For material changes, we will post notice on the website (and/or in the app) a reasonable period before the changes take effect, and update the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to updated Terms, stop using the Service and request account deletion.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (Republic of China), without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The parties agree that the Taiwan district court for the location of the Company's registered seat shall be the court of first instance with jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the Service.
If you are a consumer, nothing in this section deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the law of your country of residence, or of any right to bring proceedings in your local courts where such right cannot be waived by agreement.
16. General
- Language. These Terms are drafted in English, and the English version governs. Translations, if provided, are for reference only.
- Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you.
- Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Cookie Policy, the Acceptable Use Policy, and the Refund Policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. Paddle's Buyer Terms separately govern each purchase (Section 4.1).
